Working with us

What does Veridian Partners do?

We are a multi-practice professional services company with six service lines under one roof: taxation and related advisory, accounting and financial reporting, HR consulting, corporate advisory, corporate law and secretarial compliance and IT consulting. We also offer our own FBR-integrated software, Veridian E-invoicing Pakistan, as one solution for businesses that need it.

Where are you based, and where do you work?

Our head office is in Karachi (Office 203, 2nd Floor, Tariq Center, Main Tariq Road). We work with clients across Pakistan, mostly online with on-site visits when an engagement needs them, and we support cross-border engagements in the Middle East, Europe and the USA from Karachi. Our regulatory expertise covers Pakistan, the UAE (including DIFC and ADGM), the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. We do not have offices outside Karachi. See the jurisdictions we cover.

Who leads Veridian Partners?

The company is led by its three founding directors, whose qualifications span ICAP, ACCA and IFMP: Muhammad Shahjahan, CAMLP (IFMP), Chief Executive Officer & Founder Director; Muhammad Bilal Nadeem, ACA (ICAP), ACCA (UK), Founder Director; and Abdul Hannan Ahmed Sheikh, ACA (ICAP), Founder Director. Meet the founding team.

Do you perform statutory audits?

No. In Pakistan, statutory audits under the Companies Act, 2017 are carried out by chartered accountants and audit firms in practice registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), and in other jurisdictions by locally registered auditors. We do not sign statutory audit reports. We do provide internal audit, risk and controls reviews, audit readiness (preparing your accounts and schedules for your external auditor), due diligence and forensic or investigative reviews.

How do your fees work?

We agree a clear scope and a fixed fee, or a monthly retainer for recurring work, before we start, and confirm it in an engagement letter. There are no surprises: if the scope changes, we discuss it with you first.

Is the first consultation free?

Yes. The first conversation — up to 30 minutes with a founding director — is free and without obligation. We use it to understand your situation and explain how we can help and what it will cost. Book a consultation.

How quickly will you respond to my enquiry?

We aim to reply to every enquiry within two business days. For urgent matters, such as a tax notice with a close deadline, say so in your message or contact us on WhatsApp.

How do you keep my information confidential?

Confidentiality is one of our core values. Access to your information is limited to the people working on your engagement, we sign non-disclosure agreements on request, and personal data is handled as set out in our privacy policy.

Cross-border

Can you help with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT?

Yes. We help businesses with UAE Corporate Tax under Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 — registration, computations and returns, free zone (Qualifying Free Zone Person) analysis and transfer pricing documentation — and with VAT under Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017, from registration to returns. Where a matter requires an FTA-registered tax agent, we coordinate with one. Read our UAE Corporate Tax and VAT guide.

Can you help with ZATCA requirements in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. We advise on VAT, Zakat, income tax and withholding tax administered by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), transfer pricing, and readiness for FATOORA e-invoicing, including integration of your invoicing system. Read our KSA guide to VAT, Zakat and e-invoicing.

We are in Pakistan and want to set up a company abroad. Can you help?

Yes. We help Pakistani businesses and founders choose and set up the right structure in the UAE (mainland, free zones, DIFC or ADGM), the United Kingdom or Saudi Arabia, including holding structures, incorporation, tax registrations and ongoing secretarial compliance, with local filings made through locally licensed corporate service providers or tax agents where the law requires. We also cover the Pakistani side — State Bank of Pakistan foreign exchange rules on investing abroad and how foreign income and assets are declared in your Pakistani tax return. See the jurisdictions we cover.

We are investing into Pakistan from abroad. Where do we start?

Start with the structure — a subsidiary company, a branch or liaison office, or a joint venture — and make sure your investment comes in through banking channels and is recorded properly, so that dividends and capital can be repatriated later. We handle SECP incorporation, approvals and tax registrations remotely. Read setting up a business in Pakistan as a foreign investor.

Which jurisdictions do you cover?

Our regulatory expertise covers four jurisdictions: Pakistan, the UAE (including DIFC and ADGM), the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, and our cross-border advisory reach extends to the Middle East, Europe and the USA. All work is led from our Karachi head office. Where local regulation requires a licensed professional — for example a statutory auditor, a registered tax agent or an advocate in court — we coordinate the work with locally licensed professionals. Tax & compliance

What is the Active Taxpayer List (ATL)?

The ATL is FBR's list of persons who filed their income tax return for the latest tax year. Being on it (a "filer") means lower withholding tax rates on many transactions, such as banking, vehicles and property. Read our ATL guide.

I am salaried. Do I need to file a return if my employer already deducts tax?

Usually yes. Filing keeps you on the Active Taxpayer List, lets you claim refunds and credits, and is required once your income passes the prescribed limit or you own certain assets. Use our salary tax calculator to check your tax.

What happens if I miss a filing deadline?

Penalties and default surcharge can apply, and late filers can lose filer status. File as soon as possible and, if there was a genuine reason, ask us whether an extension or waiver can be sought.

Can you help with sales tax registered with PRA or SRB?

Yes. We handle provincial sales tax on services with the Punjab Revenue Authority, Sindh Revenue Board, KP Revenue Authority and Balochistan Revenue Authority, alongside FBR. See taxation and related advisory services.

FBR e-invoicing

Is FBR digital invoicing mandatory for my business?

Under SRO 1852(I)/2025, every sales-tax registered person had to start issuing electronic invoices by 31 December 2025 at the latest. Failing to integrate can cost up to Rs 1 million and, since the Finance Act 2026, up to a further Rs 5 million if the default continues, and can lead to suspension of registration and sealing of premises. Read our complete guide.

What is Veridian E-invoicing Pakistan?

It is our own on-premise software that prepares sales tax invoices, validates them against FBR's rules and reference data, reports them to FBR's Digital Invoicing System in real time and prints compliant invoices with the FBR number and QR code. It is one of the solutions we offer alongside our advisory work. See the software.

How long does it take to go live?

With your IRIS credentials and a static IP ready, registration, sandbox scenarios and the switch to production can usually be completed within a few working days. Our IT consulting practice can also connect your existing ERP or POS system.

Company registration

How do I register a company in Pakistan?

Choose the type of company, reserve a name, prepare the memorandum and articles, and file the incorporation application online with SECP. We can handle the whole process. Read our step-by-step guide or see corporate law and secretarial services.

Can overseas Pakistanis register a company remotely?

Yes. Most of the process is online. We prepare the documents, you sign them where you live, and we complete the filings in Pakistan.

HR & IT

What HR support do you provide?

Our HR consulting practice prepares HR policy manuals and employment contracts for each jurisdiction, structures payroll and salary tax, handles EOBI and provincial social security registrations in Pakistan, advises on gratuity, the Wage Protection System and GOSI in the Gulf, and carries out HR compliance and labour law reviews. Start with our Pakistan employment law and HR compliance checklist.

Can you help with cybersecurity and data protection?

Yes. Our IT consulting practice carries out IT governance reviews (COBIT and ISO 27001-based), cybersecurity assessments and gap analyses, IT risk and internal control reviews, and data protection compliance under UK GDPR, the DIFC Data Protection Law and the UAE and Saudi personal data protection laws.

Can you help us choose and implement an ERP or e-invoicing integration?

Yes. We help you define requirements, compare ERP options and support go-live, and we integrate invoicing systems with FBR Digital Invoicing in Pakistan and ZATCA's FATOORA platform in Saudi Arabia.
