Accounting & Reporting

Accounting & Financial Reporting

Clean books, timely management information and financial statements that stand up to scrutiny — from your bank, your investors, your regulator and your auditor.

  • Pakistan
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom
  • Saudi Arabia

Overview

We keep your books current, reconciled and decision-ready, and turn them into reporting your stakeholders trust. Whether you need a fully outsourced finance function or support for your in-house team, we bring structure: a chart of accounts that fits the business, a disciplined month-end close, management accounts with commentary, and annual financial statements under the right framework.

In Pakistan, the Companies Act, 2017 links each company's reporting framework to its size and public interest — full IFRS, IFRS for SMEs or the framework for small-sized entities. Across the Gulf and the UK we prepare accounts under IFRS for UAE, DIFC and ADGM entities, IFRS as endorsed by SOCPA in Saudi Arabia, and FRS 102 or UK-adopted IFRS for UK companies. We handle the judgement-heavy areas — revenue, leases, financial instruments, impairment and group accounts — and helps clients prepare for IFRS 18 and the IFRS S1 and S2 sustainability standards.

Statutory audits are performed by independent auditors — in Pakistan, by audit firms registered with ICAP. We prepare you for the audit and work alongside your auditors; we do not issue audit opinions.

Delivered from our Karachi head office for clients across Pakistan, the Middle East, Europe and the USA.

What we do

How we help

Bookkeeping & month-end close

Day-to-day recording in your system — QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, Sage, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics or your own ERP — with bank, customer, supplier and inter-company reconciliations closed to a timetable.

Management accounts & MIS

Monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budget variances and KPIs, with a short commentary on what changed and why.

Statutory financial statements

Annual and interim financial statements under IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, the small-entity framework, FRS 102 or SOCPA-endorsed IFRS, with notes and disclosures that meet the law and the regulator.

IFRS advisory & technical accounting

Impact assessments and position papers on revenue, leases, financial instruments and business combinations, and readiness for IFRS 18 and IFRS S1 and S2.

Consolidation & group reporting

Consolidated accounts for groups across Pakistan, the Gulf and the UK: consolidation packs, inter-company eliminations, foreign currency translation and segment reporting.

Budgets, forecasts & models

Annual budgets, rolling forecasts and variance models that management can maintain and lenders can rely on.

Virtual CFO

Part-time senior finance leadership: cash and working capital, board and investor reporting, banking relationships and finance-function design — without a full-time CFO salary.

Audit readiness & policy manuals

Accounting policy manuals and charts of accounts, year-end schedules and reconciliations prepared in advance, and liaison with your statutory auditors.

FAQs

Common questions

Which accounting framework applies to my company in Pakistan?

It depends on how your company is classified under the Third Schedule of the Companies Act, 2017 — by public interest, paid-up capital, turnover and employees. Public-interest and large companies generally use full IFRS, medium-sized companies IFRS for SMEs, and small companies the framework for small-sized entities. Read our guide Which financial reporting framework applies?

Do you audit our financial statements?

No. Statutory audits in Pakistan must be performed by a firm of chartered accountants registered with ICAP, and in other countries by locally licensed auditors. We prepare the financial statements and audit schedules, and work alongside your auditors so the audit is faster and cleaner.

Do UAE companies need IFRS financial statements?

Under the UAE Corporate Tax regime, businesses generally prepare financial statements under IFRS, with IFRS for SMEs permitted where revenue does not exceed AED 50 million. Audited financial statements are required where revenue exceeds AED 50 million and for Qualifying Free Zone Persons. DIFC and ADGM entities also report under IFRS under their own company rules.

What changes with IFRS 18?

IFRS 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements replaces IAS 1 for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027, subject to local adoption. It introduces defined subtotals in the income statement, including operating profit, new operating, investing and financing categories, and disclosure of management-defined performance measures. Read IFRS 18 explained.

Which accounting software do you work with?

We work in the system you already use — including QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, Sage, SAP Business One and Microsoft Dynamics — or help you select and set up a new one through our IT Consulting practice.

How much time does a virtual CFO spend with us?

Typically one to four days a month, plus availability for urgent matters. The scope is agreed upfront and adjusted as you grow.
