Muhammad Shahjahan is the Chief Executive Officer and a Founder Director of Veridian Partners. He leads the company's strategy, governance and growth, oversees its six service lines and leads its technical publication programme — the guidance on IFRS, sustainability reporting and Pakistan, UAE and KSA tax and regulatory developments published in our Knowledge Bank.
He brings more than 12 years of progressive experience across six audit firms in Pakistan and the UAE, including Mazars M.F. & Co., a member of the Forvis Mazars network, where he progressed from audit supervisor to audit manager. His work has covered ISA-based audits and IFRS-compliant financial reporting for listed companies, public interest entities, banks, insurers, manufacturers, technology businesses, retirement funds and donor-funded not-for-profit organisations, as well as audit and assurance for UAE mainland and free zone entities.
A Certified AML/CFT expert (CAMLP, Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan) and a CA finalist with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, Shahjahan combines technical depth in IFRS, ISAs and AML/CFT with working knowledge of corporate law, taxation and secretarial practice. Before his audit career he spent several years as a sub-editor at The Financial Daily, editing business and financial news.

- Played an active role in five ICAP Quality Control Reviews and a Forvis Mazars global audit quality inspection.
- Oversaw billing and engagement management for a portfolio of more than 110 audit clients.
- Guided clients and engagement teams on implementing IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
- Implemented Atlas, Forvis Mazars' worldwide audit platform, on his engagements.
- Led an HR legal-compliance engagement and donor expenditure verifications for EU-, UN- and NGO-funded projects.
